Dylan is a second year student in the Master’s in Ethics and Applied Philosophy program here at UNCC. He is currently serving as a research assistant for 2020 State of the Plate assessment conducted by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Food Policy Council. The study seeks to understand the impacts that the COVID-19 pandemic has had on the food system in Charlotte, and the possibilities for increasing the resilience of the system going forward. Dylan plans to continue to do research on food-related issues in the future. His main areas of interest are: urban-rural dynamics in food systems, food justice, sustainable agriculture, and agrarianism.
