Dr. Stephanie Potochnick

Dr. Stephanie Potochnick is an associate professor of Sociology and Public Policy at UNC Charlotte and director of the Center for Migration and Diaspora Studies (CMDS). Her work uses large-scale data and community-informed approaches to examine how immigration policies, social contexts, and resource environments shape the well-being of Latino and immigrant children and families. Her scholarship is published in academic and applied formats to inform policy and practice and improve outcomes for immigrant children and families.
